The Caribou Public Library is proud to announce our partnership with the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) to bring free online courses that help improve digital literacy, and teach it as well! Topics include Technology, Software, Hardware, and Internet Safety. These classes are designed to help everyone gain a basic level of understanding with technology, applications, email, and so much more! Intermediate classes are available as well.
The classes are On-Site classes, taught virtually by an Instructor from the NDEC. There are more classes available that can be taken from home. These classes are free for all Maine residents.
Enrollment is required for new patrons who would like to take these classes. You can enroll online at digitalequitycenter.org, or you can see the Circulation Desk for a paper application to be submitted on your behalf. You can register for classes online, or ask a Librarian for assistance. There are a maximum of 5 slots for each class, so be sure to register quickly! These classes are held at the Library at the set dates and times associated with each course. We will be offering new courses each month.
If you would like to check out the other courses the NDEC offers, you canclick hereor see the Circulation Desk. If there are any classes that you would like to take, please let the Library know so we can host them On-Site.
