HOW TO REGISTER FOR A LIBRARY CARD.
Residents of Caribou, citizens who own a business in the City of Caribou, and city employees may acquire a library card at no additional cost. Your card entitles you to check out physical materials such as books and DVDs from the library as well as to download eBooks from 3M cloudLibrary. Patrons may also apply for a free library cards from the Bangor Public Library. Ask Librarian for details. You can stop by the library during regular operating hours to sign up for your card.
Residents of Caribou must have proof of residency such as a Maine State ID, Maine drivers license, or electric bill with your current mailing address.
Local business owners must show proof of ownership such as Tax ID number, EIN number, business account check.
Non-residents may also acquire a Caribou Public Library card at a cost of $30 per year for an individual, $40 per year for a family, or $15 for six months for an individual.
Attention Veterans: Military personnel and veterans receive a $5 discount on individual library cards and family library cards ($25 / $35). Active duty members must present military ID card. Veterans may present a veteran's ID card, a DD Form 214, DD Form 256, NGB Form 22 or NGB Form 22-a.
