The Caribou Public Library has two hot-spots. One is 2.4 GHz and Second is 5.0 GHz. The range exceeds the library building allowing visitors to Caribou to access their email or send message via wi-fi from our parking lot. The library has 8 Adult patron computers, 2 teen computers, 2 children computers, and one computer designated for business use only.

There are no sign up sheets to use computers. We ask that patrons follow our Internet Use Policy. Please Read here
All computers do NOT have access to Hulu or Netflix. We also ask the patrons not to watch movies on Amazon Prime. Innocent activities such as patrons streaming content from Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime on library computers require a public performance license. Even if your library already holds a license with another vendor, multiple licenses are needed to ensure broad compliance and avoid the fines associated with copyright infringement. Copyright law prohibits the viewing of movies through these accounts in a public area. The Business Computer does not have access to any social media sites. This computer is open to patrons who need hi-speed internet to work, apply for jobs, write resumes, or other similar needs. Our computers are set up to use DuckDuckGo browser.
