Caribou Public Library Foundation

Picture
The Caribou Public Library Foundation is young, established in 2014. We have a dedicated core of board members who believe that our library is the heart and soul of Caribou!

Our Mission Statement:  To welcome, promote, and encourage our community to grow through learning and be empowered through knowledge. To provide the necessary resources to strengthen and support education and lifelong learning opportunities. To uphold the public's right to know by providing equal access to information which reflects all points of view and to provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere to individuals and families.

Caribou Public Library Foundation is a 509(a)2 established in 2015 to support the programming, materials and equipment of Caribou Public Library. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. "By raising private dollars, library foundations are
able to leverage and stretch public dollars." (source: http://www.ala.org/united/sites/ala.org.united/files/content/foundations/orgtools/library-foundation.pdf)

As a young Foundation, the board members of the Caribou Public Library Foundation believe that building their support to the longevity of the Caribou Public Library is key to the community's prosperity.
